Be Fearless – 8 Tips To Become More Fearless In Life

Want to be more fearless in life? Here are 8 genius tips to ditch the fear and become more fearless in life.

Let’s chat about how to be fearless in life.

When it comes to facing your fears, how fearless would you say you are?

On a scale of 1 to 10, are you a scaredy cat or super brave?

I think it’s safe to say that our life would be a lot more rewarding if we decided to ditched our fears and be a little more fearless instead.

I know staying in your comfort zone might feel warm and fuzzy but the truth is it’s strangling your life.

More courage and less fear would make your life not only more fun but it would help increase your self-esteem, too.

Now for the good news: you don’t have to just wish you were bolder, you CAN be bolder. Trust that there is a fearless person lurking inside of you right now and they are keen to get out. Let me show you how to be fearless in life.

BE FEARLESS TIP

If you want to be more fearless in life, here are 8 ideas to build your bravery:

BE FEARLESS TIP

1 – Avoid worrying what others will think of you.

Caring about what others think is a quick way to put a damper on your courageous self.

Why oh, why oh, why do we care so much about other people’s opinions?

Unless you can find a way to put yourself into the history books, there’s a chance that your memory will only remain alive in the hearts of those who loved you.

So, what are you afraid of?

Those who love you will support you.

The other people don’t matter.

2 – Ask yourself, “What’s the worst that can happen?”

Unless you’re in danger of falling to your death or losing a limb, take a deep breath and have some faith in yourself.

There probably isn’t too much to worry about unless you have already begun over-dramatizing it in your head.

Next time you’re feeling fearful, figure out the worst possible outcome.

If you can live with that, there’s nothing to worry about.

3 – Deal with smaller stressors and fears.

The key to managing big fears is to deal with the smaller ones first.

This is where your mind will start to pay attention to the way you are dealing with things and will become accustomed to your new patterns of thought and action.

Plus, the skill and confidence you gain by overcoming smaller fears will give you the ability to tackle the larger ones later on.

4 – Learn to relax.

The best way to overcome a fear reaction is to relax.

Just relax, even if you have to force yourself to do it – take a deep breath and release.

Thankfully this is something you can actually train yourself to automatically dowhen you first feel fear.

Relax your muscles, think peaceful thoughts, and breathe deeply.

Again, practice with smaller stressors first. You can do it!

5 – Play the odds.

Truth time: how many of your fears actually come true?

Some studies suggest the number is about 20% (which actually sounds rather high but still….it also means that there is an 80% chance your fears won’t come true.)

If you can deal with the worst possible outcome, and there’s only a 20% chance it will even happen, you can afford to play the odds and stay calm because you are covered both ways.

6 – Realize that fear only happens between your ears.

I know you think your fear is REAL but the truth is it is very personal and real to you alone.

Almost all fears are unique.

You might be afraid of snakes, but your friend isn’t.

You might be afraid of heights, but your sister finds them exhilarating.

In most instances, you alone are the source of your fear.

You get to decide what you are scared of and what you don’t want to be fearful of anymore.

7 – Focus on the positive possibilities.

Rather than thinking about every little thing that might go wrong, consider what might go right.

Allow yourself to feel excited about the possibilities, all the great things that could happen to you.

Imagine how much more exciting your life would be if you give yourself the chance to be open to all of life’s opportunities – something amazing could happen every day!

8 – View fear as a challenge.

Think of fear as the beginning of a game.

Imagine your fear is the obstacle and your goal is to get past it.

See if you can get yourself to take an action that makes you feel a little afraid when you think about doing it.

Remember you need to feel the fear and do it anyway.

The goal is to challenge yourself to do things that will actually improve your life.

So, there you have it – 8 ways you can live a more fearless life so you can hopefully experience so many more rewarding adventures than you do now.

Please keep in mind: your fears are manufactured inside your head.

There’s nothing wrong that you have done that – feeling fear is part of being a human.

But it’s important to know that you can let them go or at the very least, be bold despite your fears.
