What Inspires You? Simple Ways To Feel Inspired Again
Here’s a question: what inspires you? If you’re not sure, here are some really simple ways to feel instantly inspired by life again.
Let’s chat about what inspires you.
If you’re feeling a little uninspired or looking for new ways to feel inspired by life, I want you to know all is not lost. It is totally possible to feel inspired again, even if you have suffered a long inspiration drought. Just consider the following ideas.
Here are some ideas to help you feel inspired by life again:
WHAT INSPIRES YOU? INSPIRATION IDEAS
1 – Immerse Yourself In Nature:
I think we all can admit that we feel a little inspired when we are immersed in nature. Take a walk in a nearby park or nature reserve.
Visit a local beach or lake. Plan a hiking or camping trip to immerse yourself in the outdoors. Do anything that gets you out in the wilderness or surrounded by beautiful nature.
2 – Explore Different Creative Outlets:
Please don’t tell me that you have tried every hobby known to man and that you hate them all. That’s a good sign that you need to keep on looking until you find something that is right for you.
Start a new hobby or revisit an old one, such as painting, writing, or playing a musical instrument. You might also like to join a local art or writing group to connect with like-minded individuals.
When we are in a creative environment, we will often discover the inspiration we are seeking there too.
3 – Travel:
Gosh, let’s be honest – we all experience extreme bursts of inspiration when we are something new. So why not plan a weekend getaway to a new place.
And no, you don’t have to go onto an aeroplane or spend XXXX dollars to travel. Start by exploring your own city as a tourist, visiting museums, parks, and landmarks you haven’t seen in a while.

4 – Read Inspirational Material:
To date I’ve read 88 books this year and my mind is seriously more inspired by ever thanks to these new ideas I’ve exposed myself to.
So why not pick up a book that has inspired others or explore motivational literature?
You can also listen to podcasts (including my own which is Inspiring Mom Life) or binge-watch a whole stream of TED Talks that share uplifting stories or ideas for more inspiration.
5 – Volunteer:
This is something not many people consider as a way of feeling reinspired about life but volunteering to help those in need makes you see your own life in a different light.
You can offer your time to a local charity or community organization (such as one that helps feed the homeless).
Helping others can provide a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
6 – Set Personal Goals:
Let me ask you a quick question. Do you have any goals? Do you know what you want in life? What do you want to achieve this year, next year and the year after?
It’s time to define short-term and long-term goals for yourself. And don’t freak out if the goals feel too big or overwhelming to you.
All you need to do is break these big goals into smaller, manageable tasks to make progress more achievable.

7 – Exercise:
Please don’t cringe when you see this as a suggestion. I promise you trying a different sport or exercise will inspire you to see yourself and your body in a new light.
Consider engaging in physical activities that you enjoy, whether it’s jogging, yoga, or dancing. Exercise will definitely boost your mood and energy levels.
8 – Learn Something New:
I promise you, there is always something new to learn in life! You will NEVER have enough to do it all and learn it all.
Consdier taking a class or workshop in a subject you’ve always been curious about. What is something you have always wanted to learn more about? Then go out and learn it. Learning new things will stimulate your mind and reignite your curiosity.
9 – Connect with Loved Ones:
When I say connect with your loved ones I want you to consider doing this in a new way. Go ahead and spend quality time with you family and friends but see if you can have fun DIFFERENTLY.
Rather than watching TV, can you play a board game? Go out for a walk together?
Also see if you can share your thoughts and feelings with someone you trust on a deeper level than you ever have before. That is in itself inspiring – when two hearts meet together.
I love to embrace mindfulness because it’s in those quiet moments when we do feel inspired and when inspiration feels inclined to come to use.
You can try meditation or mindfulness exercises to center yourself in the present moment. Do you best to also focus on gratitude and appreciate the positive aspects of your life.

11 – Watch Inspiring Films or Documentaries:
This is actually my favorite way to feel inspired nowadays. I love to watch an old classic movie that makes me think differently about life.
Some movies I’ve watched recently that inspired me include: One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, The Fight Club, Taxi Driver and Apocalyse Now.
You can also choose to watch movies or documentaries that tell motivating stories or showcase human resilience (such as Rudy – if you haven’t seen it yet please make sure to do so!)
12 – Create a Vision Board:
Vision boards are always inspiring when they – put simply – are pinned with images that actually genuinely inspire you. You can collect images, quotes, and words that represent your goals and aspirations.
Display them along with any images of your long and short term goals on a board as a visual reminder of what you want to achieve.
13 – Reflect and Journal:
Finally, it’s time to reflect and journal on what actually inspires you in life. How would you answer this question? What inspires you?
Take some time for introspection and journal your thoughts and feelings on this question. Make sure to also reflect on your achievements, no matter how small they are.
In a nutshell, I want you to remind you that inspiration can come from lots of different sources. It’s totally okay to explore different avenues until you find what resonates with you.
Just keep on looking. Please also be patient with yourself because when you’re OPEN to feeling inspired, this is when you dramatically increase your chances of inspiration naturally unfolding.
I wish you the best of luck, Frances xxx
