Alarm Bells In Life – When You Need To Pay Attention
Want to know the most important alarm bells in life that you need to pay attention to? Don’t ignore THESE specific alarm bells.
Let’s chat about alarm bells in life that you NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO.
I want to start by saying that in my business I speak a lot about the importance of mindset, dream chasing, action taking and living each precious day with purpose and intention.
And the crazy thing is: even when you are doing EXACTLY this, living each of your days here on Earth well, you will of course still experience all the normal emotions and face obstacles and challenges because this is part of being a human.
Even just to do this part well it’s super important to have your mindset and focus really clear because when it isn’t, that’s when life begins to feel so much harder than it really needs to be.
That’s the part I want to focus on today: when life is harder than it really needs to be for you and the alarm bells you need to watch out for.
The first place to start is by paying attention to your feelings.
Even though I often speak about how your thoughts impact your feelings which in turn impact your actions and results in life, sometimes it’s best to zero straight into the feelings portion of this equation to check the barometer of your mindset.
So how are you feeling about everything: about yourself, about your relationships, about your work and career and health and all the other major areas?
Are you feeling optimistic and hopeful about it all or is there a feeling that sits in the pit of your stomach that signals to you that something isn’t quite right?
ALARM BELLS #1
This is alarm bell number 1 that when it rings I want you to sit up straight and play close attention to it.
Please do not ignore this alarm bell because when you walk around this world feeling like crap or as if something isn’t right, this will in turn impact your actions and results in life.
So what this might look like to you includes:
- Feeling a sense of dread about going into work
- Feeling as if your relationships are somehow failing
- Feeling out of alignment between the way you are currently showing up in life and the way you really wish you could
- Feeling gross in your body all the time
- Feeling tired before you even get out bed and tired the entire day
- Feeling as if you have nothing exciting waiting for you in the future
- Feeling as if your best years have already passed
- Feeling as if you have no self-discipline or self-control
- Feeling lost and confused or bored all the time
- Feeling as if your life would be different if only you were > and you can insert any emotion you want to end this sentence: if only you were more confident, braver, smarter, nicer, more ambitious or simply different >
- Feeling as if you SHOULD be happier but for some reason you aren’t
- Feeling as if you could wish you could reverse time or step into someone’s body and then everything would be fine
- Or simply feeling a sense of discontent or frustration that never really goes away.
If you ever experience any of the above and really I could have made this list a mile long but I think you get the gist of what I mean, but basically that is the first alarm bell to pay attention to when it comes to examining the quality of your life.

ALARM BELLS #2
The second alarm bell to pay attention to you NOT SHOWING UP IN A WAY THAT YOU LIKE EACH DAY.
That is, you wake up with grand plans of taking specific actions and doing so with lots of grace and compassion for yourself but for some reason these plans are like a car that hightails itself off the road and crashes into the bushes.
Maybe it flips over once or twice and suddenly there you are sitting in that car wreck thinking WTF just went wrong?
I mean, you had a sound plan for that day to just do your best and it was realistic and reasonable. Yet for some reason it’s almost like you couldn’t help but crash that car even though you definitely didn’t want to crash it.
So it’s like this insidious form of self sabotage where the person hurting you isn’t some outside stranger but you yourself. You do this to yourself EVERY SINGLE DAY. That my friend is alarm bell number 2 to pay attention to.

ALARM BELLS #3
Then you have the final alarm bell that I want you to pay attention to is: when you have given up trying to change. It’s when you see the mess around your home and think why bother cleaning it up?
It will just be back here tomorrow. It’s when you think that having terrible fights with your kids and partner and family is just the way that life is so why bother trying to improve these relationships?
It’s when you think that your bad habits are here to stay forever. It’s when you hate the way your body feels because you feed it with crap but you don’t realize that you are perpetuating this cycling of loathing for your body by not taking care of it.
It’s when you act as if you don’t care about the things that are crappy in your life but by gosh you really do care because that’s what you lay awake thinking about, all those things that are so shitty but you have accepted now as normal and as if you have no power to change them.
My friend this is the final screaming alarm bell that you need to pay attention to.
Any time you say or think to yourself I HAVE POWER, please get up and give yourself a little shake and come back to me because I am here to help you my friend.

Because you do have the power to change, you do have the power to stop feeling so shit and these three alarm bells that I’ve identified in this podcast today – let me repeat them for you one more time:
- IT’S FEELING TERRIBLE OR OUT OF ALIGNMENT
- NOT SHOWING UP IN A WAY YOU LIKE EACH DAY
- OR WHEN YOU HAVE GIVEN UP TRYING TO CHANGE
These are signals for you to pay attention to. These are signals that it is time for you to do something different otherwise we can already guess what will happen if you don’t change your path or direction?
You can already predict or foresee that result right? You will end up somewhere where you don’t want to be heading.
But don’t worry my friend.
The first place to start is by enrolling in my signature course THE MANAGING YOUR MIND MASTER COURSE. This course will save you by teaching you how to think differently about your life. It will be like an instant mindset shift or lightswitch turning on in your life.
Then I encourage you to enroll in my YOUR INVISIBLE CROWN course which is the most comprehensive personal development I have ever seen on the market with approximately 10 hours of content to support you as you discover exactly what you need to do to show up every day in a way that you love.
It is possible my friend and it’s also totally okay to ask for help when you need it. This is an investment in yourself and in your life which is honestly truly so valuable and precious and you my friend are worth investing in, especially if you have had alarm bells going on in your head for a while.
I invite you to do something different. I invite you to allow me to help you. Let’s end these alarm bells today because I promise you, this isn’t a sound you want ringing inside your own head for the rest of your life.
The time to pay attention to them and end them is today.
Wishing you much luck and love,
