Life On Autopilot – How To Stop Living Life On Autopilot

Guess what sucks! A life on autopilot. No worries, here is the secret re: how to stop living life on autopilot from hereon.

Let’s chat about living life on autopilot.

If you’re a mom then chances are sometimes your life feels like it is happening on autopilot.

If you find yourself doing the same routine day after day, never remembering what you did the day before, having nothing to look forward to, living your life – but never enjoying it or anything in it…you are probably living your life and the relationships in it on autopilot.

The really crappy part about living life on autopilot, especially when it comes to your relationships, is that you don’t even know that you’re doing it half the time.

You’re just living your life, wishing for more, but not really sure if there is more or how to get it.

Have you ever felt the same way?

If so, you are not alone. Many people are currently out in this world living out their entire lives on autopilot (which is truly sad).

When the truth is the way to have truly rewarding and successful lives and relationships is to be totally aware and adaptable when it comes to life.

So, how do you do that? I’m so glad you asked!

LIFE ON AUTOPILOT

1 – Stop and smell the roses (literally:).

Let’s come back to basics for a moment.

I want you to stop and take time to notice all the little things around you.

Our gorgeous world.

That sunset.

Those stars.

Those flowers.

Aren’t they pretty?

When was the last time you really stopped and SAW and appreciated the world you are living in?

2 – Think about your short and long-term goals.

Now let’s talk about your goals.

Do you still have those?

And if so – when was the last time you intentionally worked on it?

Recently or so long along you practically forgot about them?

Re-write that list and start working on accomplishing your next short-term goal.

3 – Remember your relationship?

Now let’s focus on your relationship (if you happen to be in one).

When was the last time you did something new with him/her?

When was the last time you even wanted to?

Can you recall your last date?

The last time you laughed together so hard you almost cried.

Start thinking about your relationship and how to truly nurture it and stop just “being in it”.

4 – Finally, if you are on autopilot there’s a reason why.

There’s a reason why we go into cruise mode.

It’s because we allow ourselves to just sail through life.

It also sometimes feels easier being the passenger as opposed to sitting in the driver’s seat.

But it’s time for you to take back your control.

You are the captain of your ship and the master of your own domains.

If your life is out of balance, it’s time for you to do something about it.

In order to have something different, you need to do something different.

If your life is either too stressful, too complicated or too boring, then there is a chance you have surrendered your life to the “routine”.

Start small.

Take one day this week and really think about your life.

What do you want to change?

What do you NEED to change?

How can you shake things up?

How can you make your life more interesting?

How can you get back in balance and in love with your life again?

The choice to make changes is up to you and you alone.

Much love,

Frances xx
