No Time To Waste – 15 Things You DON’T Have Time To Waste On
Are you noticing you have no time to waste? Here are the top 15 things you don’t have time to waste on in life.
Let’s chat about having no time to waste.
You know the deal: your time is precious and big goals require commitment and focus from you.
This means you don’t have time to waste on things that people with mediocre results spend their time on.
To achieve your goals, you may need to sacrifice or be willing to give up a few things.
Fortunately, if you’re truly committed, these things are easy to avoid.
However, if your commitment is lacking BE AWARE as these can be great distractions if your goals aren’t clear enough.
If you want to accomplish big goals, you may need to give up a few things first. These include:

NO TIME TO WASTE
1 – Worrying about things you can’t control.
Ask yourself what you’re accomplishing by worrying about things outside of your control.
Usually, it’s nothing useful!
You’ll find that worrying never solved anything so why do it at all? It’s far better to avoid doing it unnecessarily.
Let go of the worry if you can (and you can because worrying is a choice).

NO TIME TO WASTE
2 – Worrying about the opinions of others.
I wish I could tell you that other people’s opinions matter but they honestly don’t.
People in fact think about you far less than you imagine.
When you’re trying to accomplish something challenging, you just don’t have time or brain space to worry about what others think.
Truth be told – it doesn’t matter what they think.
Your opinion is what is most important.
NO TIME TO WASTE
3 – Wasting time in general.
Big goals require time, and you simply don’t have time to waste on trivial things.
Keep a record of how you spend your time for one day and note any timewasters.
You might not be spending your time the way you think you are!

NO TIME TO WASTE
4 – Surfing the internet.
Oh gosh this is such a massive timewaster.
JUST STOP DOING IT.
It is so easy to get sucked down the rabbit hole of watching dumb stuff on YouTube or reading things that don’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.

NO TIME TO WASTE
5 – TV.
Surprise, surprise, many highly successful people don’t even own a TV.
The list includes: Mark Zuckerberg, Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Helen Hunt, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Why?
Because they don’t have time to watch it.
TV is the first thing to go for me if I am being super focused on a goal.
NO TIME TO WASTE
6 – Playing on your smartphone.
You know how it’s easy for kids to become addicted to video games?
Well, the same is true for you.
Try to spend one day without looking at your cell phone unless someone calls you.
Can you do it?
Does it feel hard?
Next notice how much time everyone around you spends looking at their phone.
It’s a lot, right?

NO TIME TO WASTE
7 – Interacting with the noise of the world.
This goes back to worrying about things you can’t control and wasting time.
You can argue about Donald Trump all you like, but you’re not going to change anyone’s mind, and no one is going to change yours.
Here’s the truth – humans were all born with free will and we are all entitled to our own opinions.
Keep the majority of your attention on the things that matter in your life, like your relationships and your big goals.
Avoid listening to the rest of the noise.
NO TIME TO WASTE
8 – Doing the easy thing.
The easy thing is rarely the most effective thing.
When you’re working on a big goal, doing the effective thing is critical.
Sometimes it will be hard but that’s okay.
You can do the hard stuff?

NO TIME TO WASTE
9 – Worrying about failure.
Guess what?
There’s a good chance that you may fail in the short-term, so don’t worry about it.
Accept that it could happen, learn from the experience, adjust your approach, and continue forward.

NO TIME TO WASTE
10 – The opinions of those you wouldn’t switch places with.
There are some people worth listening to and some people who just aren’t.
For example, if you want to be earn a billion dollars, it would be wise to listen to the ideas of other billionaires.
But that list probably doesn’t include your mom, Uncle James, your best friend from high school, or your neighbor, Ken giving you advice.
So be careful who you hand the microphone over to inside your head.
NO TIME TO WASTE
11 – Trying to be liked by everyone.
It’s never going to happen.
I wish everyone would love you as you are so amazing but the truth is it’s an impossible goal.
Again, avoid worrying about things you can’t control.
This includes the opinions of others.
You could be the most perfect pianist in the world, but there are some people that hate the piano.
That’s life.
Move on.

NO TIME TO WASTE
12 – Procrastination.
Just like timewasters waste your time so too does procrastination.
You really don’t have time to waste by putting things off – this just suggests that there could be another issue lurking beneath the surface.
Identify what that issue is that is causing you to procrastinate and delay and rectify it.
NO TIME TO WASTE
13 – Allowing your emotions to guide you when logic should prevail.
We tend to make choices that serve to decrease our discomfort.
Which is fine when they are the right decisions but sometimes, they aren’t.
Be wary of making decisions in the heat of the moment.
Use your knowledge and experience to make choices that support you and your goals, instead.

NO TIME TO WASTE
14 – Repeating mistakes.
Repeating mistakes is a waste of time.
It’s like trying to open a locked door over and over again and it’s not even the right door for you to open.
Learn from your mistakes and go find the right key to open the right door instead.
NO TIME TO WASTE
15 – Seeking pleasure versus seeking progress.
Seeking pleasure may temporarily feel fine but it doesn’t lead to a good place in the long term (if only it did!).
Instead, it feels good for a short, sweet moment but afterwards you crash and burn and you have nothing to show for it, zero progress.
It just makes you overweight, lazy, and lost if you are constantly giving into temptation.
All in all, achieving big goals isn’t just about what you do.
It’s also about what you’re willing to give up.
In the end, there are some things you simply don’t have time for if you want to reach higher levels of success and this post spoke about 15 things you could happily give up today with no drama.
You wouldn’t miss these things I promise.
So, look at the ways the average person squanders their time and avoid doing those things yourself.
What are you biggest time-wasting culprits?
Look at how you tend to waste your time and avoid those things, too.
You honestly don’t have time for unsupportive behaviors when you’re aiming high!
