Relaxing Things To Do – 10 Ways To Relax Fast…NOW!
Looking for relaxing things to do? Here is a list of relaxing activities to help you relax super fast…yep like right now.
Let’s chat about relaxing things to do.
If you’re a mom, then I’m guessing that sometimes you will feel stressed and that stressful state will feel really crappy to you.
So, what’s the solution to this problem?
Well obviously it’s learning to relax.
Why should you learn how to relax fast?
Because when the stressful thoughts and feelings the quickest way to nip it in the bud is ASAP.
Stress is more than just unpleasant.
It’s also potentially dangerous if you swim in this pool for way too long.
Many diseases are now known to be caused by or made worse by stress, but lucky for you, something can be done about this.
I’ll be suggesting some quick relaxation tips in this post today.
Just try these relaxation techniques today, and use them whenever you feel that tension coming on.

RELAXING THINGS TO DO
1 – Have a hot shower
Come on you can be honest.
Having a hot shower feels great right?
The reason why this is so is because hot water relaxes your muscles, and the break from more stressful activities helps too.
Enjoy the break and let your mind wander.

2 – Play relaxing music
This works best when you have a relaxing playlist at hand.
Experiment to see which music relaxes you the most effectively.
I absolutely love the song RIVER FLOWS IN YOU by Yiruma.
I could play this song on repeat and it instantly makes me feel relax.
Once you have pinpointed the songs that you relax, make sure to keep this playlist on hand for wherever you’ll need it most.
You can also simply search for relaxation music on YouTube…there are heaps of super long relaxation videos here too.

3 – Go somewhere else
Can you think of a place that relaxes you?
For me it’s the beach.
The moment I am lay there on the sand I feel all my worries dissipate.
What’s your special place?
A few of my other favorites include: the library (all those books…OMG), a day spa (or anything that offers a massage or facial) and the nature trail below my house where I can go for lots of long walks.
So do your best pinpoint your relaxing places and whenever things are stressing you out are in the room, take the chance to get out for a little while.

RELAXING THINGS TO DO
4 – Have a cup of chamomile tea
This is simple but it works. Honestly go into the kitchen and make yourself a nice chamomile or herbal tea.
Chamomile seems to have a calming effect on the nerves, and hot drinks in general can help you relax.

5 – Watch your mind
It’s really important that we recognise that our feelings of stress come from thoughts of stress.
So what thoughts are making you feel stressed?
If you can spot the stressors lurking just below the surface, you can redirect your thoughts to think more calming thoughts.

6 – Have a laugh
This is another activity I love to reach for at the end of the long day.
Simply put on Netflix and choose a comedy special to watch.
It’s hard to feel stressed when your stomach is hurting from laughing so hard.

RELAXING THINGS TO DO
7 – Breath deep through your nose
Once again another simple activity but it works.
Just close your eyes and pay attention only to your breathing while doing this.
Take a deep breath and another and another.
Five slow deep breaths is like a mini-meditation.
RELAXING THINGS TO DO
8 – Take a walk
Sometimes the quickest way to ditch the stress and instantly relax is to literally get moving.
Grab your walking shoes and step outside the house.
Walking is one of the best relaxation techniques if you have at least ten minutes to spare.
You can listen to an inspiring podcast on this walk for a double boost of relaxation.

9 – Give someone a hug
Yep a hug.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a human or an animal (FYI dogs love cuddles).
As long as it’s from somebody you would enjoy hugging, this really can be very relaxing.

RELAXING THINGS TO DO
10 – Interrupt your routine
Finally if you’re feeling in desperate need of relaxation, STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING.
Stop what you are doing right now.
Stop doing whatever you aren’t enjoying.
Stop thinking thoughts that are causing your stress.
It’s time to do something different.
It’s time to interrupt your routine.
Anything that breaks you out of your habitual patterns can relieve stress.

RELAXING THINGS TO DO
Now for the good news:
We can all learn to more easily relax.
This is something we can do this with time, intention and practice.
You might want to take it slow but that is of course the secret to relaxing.
Doing it slow even though the result is relaxing fast once you give yourself the permission to do so.
