This little mobile is a life saver. It has many options and can be used on a bassinet, rock and play, etc. but where this really shines is in the infant carrier car seat. My son absolutely hates ridining in the car and used to scream during every car ride. We bought this and it has been a lifesaver. My son loves the bright, contrasting colors, as well as the music. We turn the mobile on each time we load him into the car seat and he stares and smiles at the mobile. I typically don’t leave Amazon reviews, but I had to come here to let everyone know how amazingly helpful this mobile has been for our baby boy. He can be a bit fussy at times, loves to be held, and doesn’t really take to any of the other devices that are supposed to hold and entertain the baby (mamaroo, baby bjorn, etc).
This mobile has captivated our baby’s attention and is able to keep him occupied for 20-30min intervals. The clicking noise that the little plastic star-shaped pieces make as they hit each other while the mobile turns keeps his interest, the high contrast colors all over seem to really be working, and the sound it makes is clear (and not annoying to the parent). Overall this has been one of the best things we’ve purchased for him and we just bought a portable Tiny Love mobile that we can take with us when we travel. Highly, highly recommended.

This is a wonderful mobile. I am an occupational therapist, and therefore, the development of my child’s visual perception and motor skills is influenced by my education and experience. This mobile is versatile in that you can switch out the discs, and it’s really fun to watch baby enjoy it.
Some people don’t like that the mobile doesn’t spin on it’s own, but we have another travel mobile that plays music and is battery powered so it continues to move, and baby gets overwhelmed by this pretty quickly. The Manhattan Toy mobile allows her to switch her gaze naturally, and track the disc that she chooses to with her developing vision. At first she loved staring st the black and white image of the baby face and now that she is older she will follow the colored images of the sun, car, and fish, and then switch back to the baby face which she still loves at almost four months. This is a must have mobile. Don’t bother with battery powered products.
